About the game
A loose reimagining of Pokémon Yellow for Nintendo Switch, designed with new players in mind. Wild creatures are caught directly with a thrown Poké Ball rather than weakened first, following Pokémon GO, whether by moving a Joy-Con, using the Poké Ball Plus controller, or playing cooperatively with a second person. Pikachu rides on the hero's shoulder and has its own unique attacks. The Pokédex is limited to the first 151 species plus Alolan forms, while Abilities and held items have been removed from the mechanics.

A diagram, not a world map: distances are not to scale, there are no coastlines, and a route that bends in the game is a straight line here. The directions are accurate, though — every connection matches the game. The legend below the drawing explains each symbol.
- Route — number inside
- Sea route — Surf only
- City
- Pokémon League
- Interior — cave, forest, tower; placed next to its entrance
- Path between places
- Path that requires Surf
- Entrance to an interior — not a passage to the other side
