About the game
The first entry in the series built entirely in 3D. The camera moves through the France-inspired Kalos region, while animated models replace sprites in battle. Mega Evolution, a temporary boost for selected Pokémon during battle, debuts here alongside the Fairy type, introduced chiefly to curb the dominance of Dragon types. Xerneas, a legendary stag symbolizing life, graces the cover. Other new features include Trainer customization, interacting with Pokémon in Pokémon-Amie, and Super Training as an alternative to blind grinding.
