Pokédex · IV (Sinnoh)

Regigigas#486

Its greatest asset is Attack — among the highest in the entire Pokédex. Its stat total puts it at the very top: more than 98% of species fall behind. It does not evolve: it does not come from anything and does not change into anything. Defensively it can rely on 1 weakness and 1 full immunity. Ghost-type moves do nothing to it at all. This is a Legendary Pokémon: one per game, no offspring. Very hard to catch — bring plenty of Poké Balls and something that puts it to sleep or paralyzes it.

Last column: what percentage of 1084 species and regional forms have a lower value. Strong point: Attack.

A nature can improve this entry further: its boost hits hardest on Attack, the stat in which this species already leads. Which nature does that — see the list of natures.

Which nature to choose

It hits physically: its Attack (160) is 80 points higher than its Sp. Atk. So the drop hits a stat the set usually does not use at all.

  • Jolly +Spe · −SpA Its Speed is higher than 84% of species — ten percent more lifts it past some of the benchmarks that decide who moves first.
  • Adamant +Atk · −SpA If you already outspeed what you want to outspeed, those ten percent are better spent on hitting power.
  • Hidden Power and Weather Ball still deal damage based on Sp. Atk. If either of them is going into the set, lowering Sp. Atk is no longer free.
  • Slow Start halves Attack and Speed for the first five turns after entering battle, and switching out resets the count. The nature strengthens the base but does not remove this limitation.

A conclusion drawn from base stats alone — a specific moveset can reverse it. All 25 natures.

How players use it

Data from 44,274 ranked battles on Smogon (Gen 9 UU, 2026-07). These are not numbers from the game — they are player habits. Gen 9 UU is one tier lower: it is played without the Pokémon most often used in OU, so the same species hold completely different places here.

Rank 255 among 274 Pokémon in use — it is on 0.02% of teams.
