About the game
The second entry in the Legends series is confined to a single city: the entire game takes place in Lumiose City in the Kalos region, where an urban redevelopment plan aims to reconcile the interests of people and Pokémon. The biggest change is the abandonment of turn-based battles. Trainers and their Pokémon move around the arena in real time, and attacks can be used when their cooldowns expire. Mega Evolution returns after being absent from the core series since the seventh generation, and it often decides the more difficult battles. At night, the city becomes the arena for the Z-A Royale, a ranked competition in which players must climb from Rank Z to Rank A.
