Evolutions

Conditions that do not fit any pattern: three critical hits in one battle, the battle styles of Legends: Arceus, a thousand steps next to the trainer, 999 collected coins. Each of these evolutions has its own sentence below, because there is no common rule here.

15 evolutions

From Into Condition
Primeape Annihilape full line Teach Primeape Rage Fist and use it twenty times, and on its next level-up it becomes Annihilape. The counter belongs to the Pokémon, not to the battle — uses from several battles add up.
Farfetchd Sirfetchd full line Only Galarian Farfetch'd, and only within a single battle: land three critical hits with it, and once the battle ends it becomes Sirfetch'd. A held Leek raises the critical-hit ratio and all but settles it.
Qwilfish Overqwil full line Hisuian Qwilfish has to use Barb Barrage in strong style twenty times. Battle styles exist only in Legends: Arceus, so you cannot get Overqwil in any other game.
Qwilfish Overqwil full line The same evolution as the one next to it: Barb Barrage in strong style, twenty times. The condition is recorded twice because a strong-style move is also a move use — there is only one Overqwil.
Stantler Wyrdeer full line Twenty uses of Psyshield Bash in agile style, again only in Legends: Arceus. Stantler learns Psyshield Bash only in Hisui, so outside that game Wyrdeer has no way to appear.
Nincada Shedinja full line Level Nincada up to level 20 with an empty party slot and at least one spare Poké Ball. The evolution produces Ninjask, and Shedinja is the discarded shell that joins the party as well — the only case in which one Pokémon gives you two.
Feebas Milotic full line Raise Feebas's Beauty with Pokéblocks or Poffins and level it up once more. Beauty matters only in the third and fourth generations; from the fifth on, a trade while holding a Prism Scale does the same.
Mantyke Mantine full line Have any Remoraid in your party and level Mantyke up once more. Remoraid does not have to battle or evolve — it only has to be there, just as in the Pokédex entries where these two species stick together.
Yamask Runerigus full line Galarian Yamask has to take at least 49 HP of damage in a single battle without fainting, and then walk under the stone arch in Dusty Bowl in the Wild Area. Fainting along the way resets everything.
Bisharp Kingambit full line Your Bisharp has to hold a Leader's Crest and defeat three Bisharp leading a pack of Pawniard — they also hold a Leader's Crest, which is how you recognize them. Only then does a level-up turn it into Kingambit.
Milcery Alcremie full line Give Milcery one of the Sweets and spin your character on the spot. The direction and length of the spin and the time of day decide which of the 63 cream and decoration combinations Alcremie gets — the only evolution in which the trigger picks the look.
Pawmo Pawmot full line Turn on Let's Go mode, walk a thousand steps with Pawmo while it is out of its Poké Ball, and level it up once more. Steps count only while the Pokémon is actually walking next to you.
Bramblin Brambleghast full line The same thousand steps in Let's Go mode as with Pawmo, followed by a level-up. Bramblin rolls after you like a ball of dry twigs and becomes Brambleghast only after that distance.
Rellor Rabsca full line The third thousand-step case in Let's Go mode. Rellor rolls its ball of mud along the way — without leaving the Poké Ball the counter stands still, so training alone will not do it here.
Gimmighoul Gholdengo full line Collect 999 Gimmighoul Coins and level Gimmighoul up once more. The coins are found with the Roaming and Chest Forms scattered all over Paldea — the longest evolution condition in the series.
