Gigantamax Snorlax#10206

Its greatest asset is HP — among the highest in the entire Pokédex. Weak point: Speed — lower than 93% of species. Defensively it can rely on 1 weakness and 1 full immunity. Ghost-type moves do nothing to it at all.

Last column: what percentage of 1084 species and regional forms have a lower value. Strong point: HP; weak point: Speed.

Attack and Sp. Def share first place here, so any nature that raises one of them will do. The list of natures shows what each one does.

Gigantamax does not change any of these numbers — all 34 forms have the same stats, types and abilities as the base form.

Which nature to choose

It hits physically: its Attack (110) is 45 points higher than its Sp. Atk. So the drop hits a stat the set usually does not use at all.

  • Adamant +Atk · −SpA It moves second and nothing will change that, so the whole boost goes into power.
  • Brave +Atk · −Spe The Trick Room version: with the turn order reversed, the slower the better, and Gyro Ball calculates its power from exactly this lowered Speed.
  • Hidden Power and Weather Ball still deal damage based on Sp. Atk. If either of them is going into the set, lowering Sp. Atk is no longer free.

A conclusion drawn from base stats alone — a specific moveset can reverse it. All 25 natures.

Abilities

  • Immunity Prevents poison.
  • Thick Fat Halves damage from fire and ice moves.
  • Gluttony Makes the Pokémon eat any held Berry triggered by low HP below 1/2 its max HP.

Pokédex entry

Very lazy. Just eats and sleeps. As its rotund bulk builds, it becomes steadily more slothful.
